About Me

I have taught 2nd grade and 4th grade while being a Literacy Coach for the past 7 years. I have been trained in two explicit, systematic, Orton-based programs. I have also been a trainer for LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) and RISE (Reading Initiative for Student Excellence).

I currently train teachers in Literacy Essentials: the Journey from Spelling to Reading, create literacy curriculum for older students, provide literacy support for grades 4-12, and partner with schools to review their literacy curriculum and ensure it aligns with the science of reading.

I have a passion for learning about the history of the English language, linguistics, and how to present the code of English in the most straightforward way possible so that students of all ages can gain confidence in reading and spelling.
